Good to know
Will it work on my phone?
It needs to be unlocked from your carrier (phones bought outright usually are; if yours came on a contract, ask your carrier) and eSIM-capable. eSIM works on iPhone XS or newer, and most Android phones from the last few years. Look for "Add eSIM" under Settings → Cellular, or ask your phone's maker.
How do I install it?
The QR code arrives by email a few minutes after you pay. Installing takes about two minutes, with no shop, no SIM tool and no swapping cards: your usual SIM stays where it is.
- Open your email. Tap Install on iPhone, or scan the QR from a second screen.
- Install before you fly. Add it at home on Wi-Fi. It stays switched off until you need it.
- Switch on when you land. Turn on the U.S. Virgin Islands line and data roaming for it. You are online.
When does my plan start?
The days count from the moment the eSIM first connects to a network in U.S. Virgin Islands. Installing it at home does not start the clock.
Will I keep my phone number and WhatsApp?
Yes. The eSIM is data-only and sits alongside your usual SIM, so your own number stays on for calls and WhatsApp.
Can I share data with my laptop?
Usually, yes. Hotspot works on most phones and local networks, so check that yours allows it.
